    OFFICIAL RECORDS OF THE
    27TH REGIMENT IOWA VOLUNTEER INFANTRY
The Links on this page were compiled from the The War of the Rebellion:  A Compilation of the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies.  To the best of my ability, they are in chronological order.

It was tempting to add information from other units that mentioned the 27th.  However, I decided that for now I would stick with only the official reports that were written by commanding officers of the 27th, and a brief summary of the battle if available.  There is obviously a LOT of information that can be obtained about the battles that I have not included here.

NOTE:  If the link is in ALL CAPITALS, it is a link to something on the Internet.  You will have to use your browser's BACK button to return to this page.

If the link has only the First Letter capitalized, it is a link within this website.
