Information researched by Elaine Johnson using information found on the internet at Ancestry.com and other sources.   I just randomly picked his name from the roster and started researching to see what I could find on him.  I started with the pension records that showed his wife's name and went from there.

Birth:  June 1836 in Rutland, Meigs, Ohio
Death: 1922 in Edgewood, Delaware, Ia
Burial: Edgewood Cemetery, Delaware County, Iowa
Occupation: landlord

Father's name: Barsley Hubbell
Mother's name:  Eliza Bellows

Note: I found sources for different last names for his wife.   (Both were Alonzo Hubbard, son of Barsley).  I don't know which one is correct -- Maybe both -- it would not be impossible for him to have married two women with the same first name. (but it seems odd that the month and day are the same.

First Source:

Alonzo O. HUBBLE was born in 1836.16792 He died in 1922 in IA.16792 Buried in Noble Cemetery, Edgewood, Clayton, IA. Name also appears with middle initial D, but cemetery records give O.

Spouse: Julia A. TEMPLE. Alonzo O. HUBBLE and Julia A. TEMPLE were married on 3 Jul 1873 in Delaware Co., IA.16793

NOTE: After researching the census records -- this one makes sense based on the 1870 census -- see below.  I will leave the other information because I found it and does seem to be a discrepancy.

Alonzo D. HUBBELL was born on 9 Jan 1836 in Rutland, Meigs, OH.16791 He lived in Edgewood, Clayton, IA in 1914.11159 Parents: Barsley HUBBELL and Eliza BELLOWS.

Spouse: Julia A. COCHRAN. Alonzo D. HUBBELL and Julia A. COCHRAN were married on 3 Jul 1877 in OH.11159

Note that he was living next door to the family of Julia A. Temple in 1870.  To me it makes logical sense that his wife in 1873 was Julia A. Temple.
