I did not find a family tree with the children listed.  The list above was derived from Census records.

I did note some discrepancies.  In 1870 wife was Mary born in Illinois.  In 1880, Wife was Ellen born in New York.  (I found a marriage date of 1863 to Ellen Clark) They could be the same person, Census records are notorious for being incorrect. 

Also after 1870, John and Frank do not appear.  The girl that appears to match Fanny is Eathel, so Fanny and Eathel could be the same person. (also, why wasn't Horace on the 1870 census??)

 

Pension Records show that he filed for a pension in California.

Note: John Hall & Polly (Wait) moved to St. Lawrence Co., NY soon after their marriage. In the summer of 1854 they journeyed to Iowa and settled at Nashua where there was only one frame house and a log cabin. John was the first carpenter and mill-wright. They lived at Mitchell one year and then returned to Nashua. Polly was a member of the Methodist church from her youth.
