Note: John Hall & Polly (Wait) moved to St. Lawrence Co.,
NY soon after their marriage. In the
summer of 1854 they journeyed to
Iowa and settled at Nashua where
there was only one frame house and a
log cabin. John was the first
carpenter and mill-wright. They
lived at Mitchell one year and then
returned to Nashua. Polly was a
member of the Methodist church from
her youth.
