A letter dated May 10, 1933 from Mrs. R. E. Matthews of McClure Illinois states that Abraham Hunsucker had a wife named Mary Snyder (#2)who resided at one time in Washington County Virginia and moved to Union County Illinois about 1803 and died at Jonesboro, the same county Jan 6, 1834. (she is talking about Abraham who descended from Hartman HUNSUCKER, DAR records proved that the two Abraham's were of different lines.)

Hunsaker, Abraham    State : IL,  County : Union Co. Census of 1810
Age ranges in household : 01-05-00-00

I am looking for any information an Abner Keith born 1778 married to
Magdelena Hunsaker born 1770. They had children in KY but their kids
married in Union Co., ILL. Magdalena's parents may have been John and
Magdelena(Birg or Biry) Hunsaker.

I have some limited info on this family.  Yes, Magdelena's(b:1770)
parents were Johannes (John) Hunsaker(b:May 22, 1728) and Magdalena
Beery (Bieri or Biry ?)(b:January 03, 1731/32).    Magdelena's marraige to Abner Keith(b:1778) on June 02, 1804 in Muhlenberg, Kentucky was her second.  She was married to a Valentine Lesley about 1792 in Fayette, PA. I don't really have any other info on Abner Keith, or any of their children. I would love to know the childrens' names and birthdates and any other info that you can share.      I do have additional information on Magdelena, such as her siblings, grand and great-grandparents, etc. if you are interested.

I am also researching the Hunsaker and Biery families, although I have no additional information on Magdelena Hunsaker, I would be interested in exchanging information with other researchers regarding the HUNSAKER or BIERY families.

As for my HUNSUCKER interest......my research leads to an ancestor named GEORGE W. COOKSEY who was the son of WARREN COOKSEY (est DOB 1756-76) and SUSANNAH ______:
Children:
COOKSEY, DELILAH GARRETT b ca 1796 m JOHN PARMER
COOKSEY, JOHN NEWTON b ca 1799 m ANN GRANT
COOKSEY, SANFORD W. b ca 1801
COOKSEY, WARREN W. b 27 July 1804  m HANNAH HUNSUCKER

I was hoping I could meet with someone, through your web site, who was researching WARREN (b 1804) and HANNAH HUNSUCKER in the hope that they might have some additional COOKSEY information. If anyone is interested, I have some Missouri county history information on WARREN and his son JACOB. I also have a note that HANNAH HUNSUCKER's father was JACOB HUNSUCKER, but I don't know her mother's name.
