[Note: All of the above Hopkinses are believed to have migrated to the Mississippi Territory with

agroup known as the Jersey Settlers, apparently from New York or New Jersey. I've been told

that at least some of them lived on the northern end of Long Island, now NY. Their relationship to other Hopkins groups is unknown to me. I have encountered one Hopkins descendant and also

descendants from other families included in the Jersey Settlers. A book has been published

about these early Mississippians. I haven't seen it. Some early settlers in Mississippi Territory were Tories or families of officers in the British colonial military forces. I don't know if the Jersey Settlers were included in this group. Harold Hopkins.]

* died 15 Mar 1888,  acc. to gravestone in Harmony Cem., Smith Co., MS, which spells his name as Levingston Glisson.    The adjacent gravestone of his wife, Nancy A. Wooley Glisson, states she was b. Jun 1826 and d. 4 Jun 1907. Their son, James W. Glisson, was stated in a family history to be illiterate and it's therefore possible his father was also, possibly accounting for the several variations in spelling his first name: Levin, Eleven, Levingston, etc.

O.P. Hopkins name should be P.O. (Paul Oliver).   D.F.(Doctor Franklin), L.D.(Luther Dennis), P.O., and C.R. (Cicero Rebecca) Hopkins were sons of Cicero L. Hopkins’s first wife Martha Rebecca Ellis. They were married ca. 1860 and she died with 4th child C.R. Hopkins in 1869. C.P. (Charity Permelia) Hopkins was a  widow with five children (L.C. (Lafayette) , W.N. (William) , F.W.(Felix or Fikel), and A.B.(Albert) Little.  Cicero and Charity were parents of Cicero L. (Jr.),   Jas. M.,  P.C. (Peyton Curry), M.P. (Moses Perry), C.E.(Charity Elizabeth), and  D.A. (Delilah Anne)  Hopkins. The three Bryants were  grandchildren of Cicero L. Hopkins Sr.,’s sister, Elizabeth Hopkins Eubanks, apparently visiting at the time of the census. P.C. Hopkins was born 15 Jun 1875. Birthplace of Cicero’s father (Samuel Hopkins) should be NC. Samuel stated in 1850 and 1860   censuses that he was born in SC, but in 1870 census stated he was born in  NC.
