Our research has not been to find the descendents of a certain ancestor.

    We are attempting to trace the line back from our own grandparents to as many of their immigrant ancesters as possible:

we are working in the opposite direction.
 
 

Using this tree as an image,

represent the trunk of this tree.
 
 

The branches are the families who came before us.

As research continues, some limbs of this imaginary tree will be removed,

others will be added.
