NOTICE
The administrator of this site, Al Henderson, will be "offline" for all of 2004 and, quite possibly, 2005. What this means to you is that there will not likely be any updates posted online during this time nor will I be reachable via e-mail.
I will, nonetheless, continue to do research and am always open to being contacted by other researchers. You can write to me at:

The DYNES Project

HOW  TO  CONTRIBUTE

The Dynes Project is exactly that - a project. Long-term. On-going. And, hopefully, representing a collective effort. Those of us who have been putting information together for this site sincerely hope that you find something of interest here!
And, equally, we hope that you will consider contributing to the Project, in aid of others.

What sort of materials are suitable? The table of contents gives some idea of what sort we have thought of, so far ... but, quite frankly, we are very much open to suggestions from those of you who visit. If you have anything we haven't thought of, yet, please feel free to send it along for consideration.
Ask yourself, "What would I like to find on a website, that would help my own research?"  Whatever answer you come up with is, for the most part, exactly what we want here!

Materials can be submitted by post.

If you send photographs - or, for that matter, anything that will have to be scanned for posting onsite - keep in mind that a photocopied image cannot, then, be scanned. It will not turn out, acceptably. In this case, it is better to reproduce it as another photo' and, then, send it.

Charts can be sent as either a typed chart (we use MS Word, here) or a GEDCOM ... which we will transfer into Family Tree Maker, then copy onto a webpage in "Outline" format.

Materials which require us to re-type are always welcome, of course ... but bear in mind that it might take a while to show up online.

Hmm ... well, that's all that comes to mind, just now. If you have any questions or suggestions or ... well, anything ... please drop a line!

Thanks a whole lot for your help (which we gratefully accept in any amount! *grin*).
