Notes for Hardy ATKINSON

Missy Atkinson remembers Hardy Atkinson sitting in the back yard with a
knife making fishing baskets and cotton baskets. The cotton baskets would
hold 100 pounds and he sold them. The fish baskets would be about six
feet long and he would fish in the creeks around Macedonia. He would go
out in woods and cut tall, slender hickories. She said she was always
told Hardy was 3/4 Indian.
