Notes for John Frances ATKINSON
Joined Co H, 18th Regiment, Georgia Volunteer Infantry, Army of Northern
Virginia, on March 8, 1862. He was present at Lee's surrender at
Appomattox Courthouse, Virginia in April, 1865. Received a pension for
his Confederate service in Polk Co., GA, 1901-1907.
