This is recorded in Deed Book No 13 Page 195, Patrick Co, VA
Know all men by these presents that we Paul W. Dehart, Gabriel Dehart and William Griffith are held and firmly bound unto Jeremiah Burnett executor of Thomas Tennison deceased in the just and full sum of four hundred and sixty dollars good and lawful money of Virginia for the true payment whereof we bind ourselves jointly and severally our just and several heirs executors and administrators firmly by these presents as witness our hands and seals this 11th day of September 1848. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas Paul W. Dehart has this day received of the said Jeremiah Burnett executor aforesaid Two hundred and Twenty five dollars a legacy bequeathed his wife by the Last Will of the said Thomas Tennison deceased and has also received of the said Jeremiah Burnett executor aforesaid Two hundred and Twenty five dollars as guardian of Jesse Dehart a legacy bequeathed him by the said Will and Testament of the said deceased. Now if the said Paul Dehart shall pay proportionable parts of all debts or claims that may come against the said Estate and the cost attending the recovery of the same then this obligation to be void else it shall remain in full force.
