Mr. John DEHART born and reared near Union, Monroe County, died at his home near Ona, Cabell County, WV on Saturday, 8 NOV 1924, aged 87. Confederate veteran, wounded twice, Battle of Lewisburg and at Cloyd's Mountain. Married Miss Rebecca NELSON after the war. 40 years ago they moved to Cable County, WV. Baptist, Democrat. Wife died six years ago. Survived by five sons: Lon, Adger, Henry, Paul and Homer, all of Ina. Two brothers: J.R. and M.A. of the Knobs, Monroe County. Funeral at Blue Sulphur, Greenbrier County.
