DEHART, James Robert, V. 55, #45, 9 DEC 1926.
James Robert DEHART, aged 83, died at his home on the Knobs, 3-1/2 miles west of Union at 11:40 p.m. on Friday, 3 DEC 1926; asthma sufferer. He was born 17 MAR 1843 near place of death, a son of the late Samuel & Sophia (SPADE)DEHART. Confederate veteran in Bryan's Battery, prisoner 1864 at Point Lookout. He married in 1873, Miss Lucy BROYLES of Springfield District who died six years later. They had three sons, H.K. of Creamery, J.L. of Connersville, IN and Cornelius who died a number of years ago. His second wife was Miss Mary E. DIXON who died about 14 years ago and had three daughters: Mrs. C.C. KERSHNER of Huntington, WV and Misses Naomi and Lizzie at home. His third wife, married about ten years ago, Miss Mary BARNETT of the Knobs and had one son who survives him. Brother W.A. DEHART. Bured in Green Hill Cemetery at Union.
