Will of Gabriel DeHart, Son of Jesse and Jemima DeHart, Morgan Co, Ky.


In the name of God Amen I Gabriel Dehart of the County of Morgan in the
State of Kentucky being of usual health of body and of sound and
disposing mind and Memory Praise be God for the same, being desirous of
setling my world affairs while I have strength and capacity to do , Do
make and publish this my last will and testament.
That is to say first I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Martha
Dehart all of my real and personal estate during her natural life,
excepting a portion of the lower end of the farm sold to my son Jesse
Dehart bounding as follows begenning at a water gap on a white walnut
-running on paralel lines running up to ? on each side of the creek to
the top of the ridge including all the lands below said lines for which
a deed shall be acknowledged to him at mine and his mothers death free
from all the heirs, executor or administrators.
Second it is my request that my children remain at home on the farm if
they choose and that a sufficancy of the farm be set aside for their
support , that is as long as they remain single, and that they have
posession of the house and all the furniture binding and belonging there
to as long as they remain single. After married or leave each to have
their equal portion . Also those that stay at home to have tools and
farming utencils sufficient for farming purposes.
The girls to have a cow apiece and sheep sufficint to make their
clothing and hogs to make their meat. The remainder of the and property
to be equally divided among the heirs that are of age. Lastly to my
grandson Gabriel Dehart son of James Dehart deceased I give and bequith
the sum of one dollar to be paid him when he arrives at the age of
twenty one years. In witness where of I here unto set my seal at my
residence this 20th of April AD 1872

Signed and sealed by said Dehart- as and for his last will and testiment
in the presents of us who in his presence of each other and at his
request have hereto suscribed our names as witnesses.

This insturment of writing was provided to the Morgan Co Court -on the
26th day of July 1880 and filed for probate and proven by the oath of
A.J Amyx and on the 28th day of August 1880 proven by the oath of Henry
Blankenship both being suscribing witnesses to the act there to- to be
the act and deed of Gabriel Dehart- died and the same was by the Court
ordered to be recorded as the last Will and Testiment of Gabriel
Dehart-died which is now done . Witness my hand this 26th day of August
1880.
