Pat,
I see you have pretty
well studied Anderson's, I have been studying my
Anderson's now for
three years . I think we spoke to one another when I
first started with
this on Rootsweb Anderson list .
I would like to send
you a zip file and four documents to study , I would
like to find out when
this Anderson branch came into Virginia
.
I have also some
missing people in the file that is very important to my
husband's family. I
can't seem to find the information on the net and can't
get to the area's that
the information should be at .
If I knew how to send
these files by email to you it would be faster.
I have a scanner, zip,
and still haven't yet learned how to use them.
I don't think the
documents would scan well enough for you to read them.
I should have started
out by telling you the Anderson line that I have is
George Anderson from
along the Rapidan River , in a little Town called
Wolftown today near
Standersvillie. The first date I have is 1798. I have a
will for him from
Madison Co.
He names his wife and
children : (w)Mary Anderson
Obediah must of been
his oldest child for he is named first ,he is the one I
have been following
through, the rest of the children read
as followed he
gives the last name of
all children Anderson.
My son Jacob

My son Augustine
My son George
My son Joel
My daughter Peggy
Simpson
My daughter Molly
I give to my
granddaughter Mary Anderson , daughter of my son George.

you know where I start. Their is another George, I
think that is this

6 v. Peggy Anderson. She married Thomas Sampson Abt. 1795.

8 vii. George Anderson, died in Alabama. He married Bathsheba Clark November 03, 1789
in Culpepper County, Virginia.

sorry it took so long
for me to answer but I have been so furstrated at
trying to find one
person for a year now and haven't found nothing at all
on her, Virginia A. Smith(b)1872
(d)1906, (m) William Henery Anderson
(abt)1890 in around
Madison Co.Virginia, William was from around
Standersvillie area his
grandfather owned land in Orange Co. and Green
Co.and Madison Co.I
have wills and Deeds showing this I don't know if they
lost the land or sold
it, his father is Obadiah and his father was Obadiah
Sr.and his father was
George Jr. and his father was George Sr., this gets
me back to 1798, George
Sr. was (m) to Ann ? George Jr. was (m) to Mary
Read Obadiah was (m)
toCatherine Conrad daughter of Jeseph Conrad , Obadiah
Jr.was married to
Emiline E.booton daughter of Reuben Booton mother Mary
Dick they were married
Feb.1792 in Rockingham or Greenbrier Co.- minister's
returns then Reuben (m)
Married Mary Anderson Dec.21,1809 in Orange Co.Va.,
this is a fast write up
on this family, I have sisters and brothers, but I
just wanted to give you
a few names, thinking maybe you might be able to
help me connect to,
William and Virginia and as to where they were and who
her parents were they
left that area around 1905 Virginia gave birth to a
child named Jane in
1905 and between that year and 1906 they were in W.V.
and she had a set of
twins in April 22, 1906 my husbands mother was one of
the twins that was born
to Virginia, virginia died six months later and was
buried in the Anderson
family cem, I know this is long way to tell you all
of this but I need
help, and don't know where to get it. Thanks for
