Joseph William Mauck
Joseph William Mauck, b. 1853 in Cheshire, OH, the son of Joseph and Adeline Sigler Mauck, and was a grandson of Joseph and Elizabeth Whaley Mauck, and a great-grandson of Daniel Mauck and Rebecca Baker Mauck of Hamburg, Page CO Virginia. Joseph William Mauck was elected President of Hillsdale College, Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1902. The photo appears in the centennial publication of Hillsdale college 1844-1944. The publication was prepared by Vivian Lyon Moore.
Although there is a great distance in the relationship, Joseph William
Mauck bears a striking resemblance to my father.
