Marriage of Joseph Porter and Sarah (McLain) Rush, June 24, 1830

This certifyes that I James H Black a regular ordained minister of the gospel in said Territory and county aforsaid did on the 24th day of June A.D. 1830 join together in the Holy bonds of matrimony Joseph Porter and Sarah Rush in due form of law. Witness my hand this 5th October 1830.

It seems that Joseph and Sarah Porter left immediately after their marriage for Texas where, on July 13, 1830, Joseph registered as a colonist in the Wavell Red River Colony.
