MILDRED CHRISTY (JULIUS, SAMUEL (?))Mildred seems to be the second child of Julius and Agatha Barnett Christy. She was born in Culpeper (or Orange) Co., Virginia the 21st. March 1759. She married Belfield Cave C1776/7. Belfield was a son of Benjamin Cave, jr. and his wife Elizabeth Belfield Cave. Belfield was born 23 October 1756 in Orange County, Virginia. He died 4th. June 1811 and Mildred died 6 August 1829, both died in Orange County.

16 November 1824Between Mildred Cave and Philip Cave and Joseph Cave, "I, Mildred Cave, of the County of Orange and State of Virginia do agree to lend the following property to Joseph and Philip C. Cave during their natural lives but should I want said property before my demise or theirs, it is to be returned;
2 Beds, 1 Cupboard, Knives, Forks, Dining Table, 1 small globe, 14 chairs, dishes, plates, cups, saucers, kitchen furniture, dairy furniture, 3 pairs of fire dogs, shovel and tongs, table cloths and towels, water wooden vessels, 2 work horses, 2 blue blankets, 2 bed quilts, 2 double woven counterpanes, 2 pairs of sheets. 1 pair weighing scales, cotton cords, candlesticks, 2 white counterpanes, 1 blue and yellow counterpane, 1 blaze face mare colt, 1 desk.Elizabeth Cave, first born child of Mildred and Belfield Cave was born 9 May 1778 and died November 1779.All the claims I have against Joseph Cave are annul and void and at my death I also lend them another counterpane. The Deed of Trust given to me by Joseph Cave, I release to him.
Mildred Cave
Benjamin Cave, born 24 January 1780. He died 24 June 1822. His wife, Jane Glassel Cave, died 23 April 1812. Benjamin Cave's Will (Madison County, Virginia, Will Book 4, Page 165) names his daughter Jane Cave, "When she comes of age." His brothers, Belfield and Hudson M. Cave are named as Executors.
Benjamin and Jane Glassel Cave's daughter Jane was born 7 October 1811.
Elizabeth Cave, the second daughter to be so named, was born 1 January 1782. She married Valentine Johnson on the 30th of August 1803. He was the son of Colonel William Johnson and Elizabeth Cave (THIS Elizabeth Cave was the daughter of Benjamin Cave Sr. and Hannah Bledsoe.)
Valentine Johnson's brother, Robert Johnson, was the father of Richard Mentor Johnson, Vice-President under Van Buren (1837-41).Elizabeth Cave Johnson died 20 February 1815 in Orange County.
Joseph Cave was born 6 April 1784 and died 13 December 1863
Sarah Cave was born 15 April 1786 and died 21 July 1786.
Philip C. Cave was born 13 August 1788 and died 8 January 1860.
Hudson M. Cave was born 10 January 1792. He married Delia Barbee 19 September 1823, in Orange County, North Carolina. Hudson Cave is listed as "Doctor" in the 1850 Orange County N.C. Federal Census. His wife Delia Barbee, was a daughter of William Barbee. She is named in his will as "Daughter, Delia Cave." Will proved Orange Co. N.C. August 1857.
Hudson and Delia had two known children, Jane (married a Guthrie) and Emily (married a Stuart.).
Hudson died 5 February 1864.
Belfield Cave, Jr. was born 26 May 1794. He married Cremona Jones. The were living in Madison County, Virginia in the 1850 Federal Census.
Sarah "Christie" Cave, spelled "Christie" in Cave family Bible. She was thesecond daughter to be named "Sarah". She was born 12 July 1796 in Orange Co., Virginia. She married Zachariah Schackelford (His second wife) and the lived in Albemarle County Virginia. Zachariah died in 1852 at age 84.
Their children were:Frances B. Cave was born 13 August 1798. She married John Collins in Orange County, 17 December 1823. Philip Cave was her guardian at the time of her marriage. She died in 1862.

Md. Sarah GossEmily Amanda Cave was born 26 February 1803. She married David Carr, in Orange County, 13 October 1826. Philip Cave was her guardian at the time of her marriage. She too lived in Albemarle County Virginia.
The Cave Family Bible Records were found in Kentucky D.A.R. Records, Volume 3, page 73.
