Anna Marie Kusters


Albert (Lambertus) HERMANS  was born in 1819 the son of Martin (Martinus) Herman and Annie Barten.

Anna Marie KUSTERS was born in May 27, 1823 in Hintheim, Noord Brabant Holland. Her parents are not known at this time.

Anna and Albert were married in October of 1847 in Rijkevoort, Holland.  Albert and Anna had four children while living in Holland, where Albert was a farmer:

The Albert Hermans family immigrated to the United States from Holland in 1856. Dutch records show that Lambertus (Albert)Hermans declared his status as follows in the official records "Staat der Landverhuizingen Naar Noord-Amerika of Andere Overzeesche Gewesten" (List of Immigrants to North-America and other overseas places):

In the passenger lists collected by the United States Department of Immigration, the Albert Hermans Family is declared as:

The ages and dates of birth match the Albert Hermans family. This says that there were two children that have yet to be accounted for - Johan and Hendrika. Do you know anything about them?

The family made their way to the state of Wisconsin where they first lived in Preble, Brown County and another daughter was born.

In late 1858 the family moved to Bay Settlement in Brown county.  There four more children where born:

 Anna Mary Kusters HERMANS died in Bay Settlement, on the 30th of January 1892, and is buried in Bay Settlement cemetery.  Albert HERMANS died on the 14th of December, 1911 (death certificate), in the town of Scott, in Brown county, Wisconsin at the age of 92.



HERMANS Ancestry  

The HERMANS surname is German in origin.  At this point its not clear how they came to live in Holland.  Currently the earliest known Dutch Hermans ancestor is Martin (Martinus) HERMANS who married Annie BARTEN.  Martin and Annie (Martin Hermans Family History) had at least one child Albert (Lambertus) HERMANS (1819 - 1911) who married  Anna Marie KUSTERS (1823 - 1892) the family described above.
