[2460] Anna Maria Adriani Vanden Elsen - is buried in Holy Cross Cemetary, Bay Settlement.
[2461] Anna was the daughter of Adriaan Van Den Elsen and Elizabeth Geort Hendriks who had passed away previous to her marriage. Gerardus Laurentii Van Laanen was (if there has been an accounting of all the records) the third son of a family of four born to Laurentius Petri Van Laanen (born March 19, 1777) and Petronella Ariens who were married in February 1801.
[2462] The children of this marriage were: Joannes (February 20, 1802), Antonius (July 11, 1804), Gerardus (January 28, 1807), and JoAnna Maria (March 15, 1810). Little is known of Laurentius except that he was a well-to-do farmer in the Boekel area. No one knows the reason why but somehow his sons were not as successful in farming as the father. One interesting fact about the marriage of Laurentius and Petronella was that a dispensation of the Church was required since they were marrying cousins, probably second cousins.
