[2981] From the book "Dreams of Beaver Creek"
[2982] Hercule and Edmund Lancour lived and raised families in the Perkins area and were part of the original settling of the village. Though their descendants are scattered about the country, some have responded to my request for info. Bernard's daughter-in-law, who has done some family genealogy; provided me with several photos and considerable useable information showing other Perkins family connections. Edmund was mainly a farmer, though he was involved in some logging and saw-milling enterprise. Evidence of his craftsmenship lives on in the beautiful brick home he built at his farm on a hill south of Perkins. Hercule also seems to have been a talented craftsman. One example of his skill as a builder is reflected in the Catholic mission church he built across the road from the Perkins Cemetery. Though the church burnt down , Edmunds house still stands. Hercule and his wife Julia St. Germain would have eleven children: Henry, James, Salem, Joseph, Archie, David, Edward, Julia, Elizabeth, Victorine, and Louise.
[2983] Picture Caption: Right; Archie (son of Hercule) Lancour and wife Margaret (LaPlant) with eldest daughter Mabel. They would have ten more children
[2984] Picture Caption: Far Right L. to R. Dave Lancour, wife Iola, Helen and husband Bernard Lancour. in front, daughters Marie and Irene.
[2985] At left, Edmund Lancour and Family. L. to R: Edmund, son Henry, daughter Emma Marie, wife Rebekah (Reed). FR: Son Ferdinand, daughter Celina and son John. (according to genealogical records furnished by Maureen (Broder) Lancour, Edmond had first married Philunicre Le'Esperance in Canada in 1868, then Rebekah Reed at Perkins in 1891, then Hannah Caskinette in 1916. Emma would marry Dolphine Pilon, Ferdinand - Mathilda Beauchamp, John would remain single, Celina would marry Alexander Bessen and Henry - Katie Beowsie.)
[2986] Picture Caption: L. to R: David lancour (son of Hercule 7 wife Julia St. Germain), his son Bernard, Geurgiana Remlihard, another son Al Lancour, and , in front, grandson David Lancour.
