[102] William (Bill) Joseph Balza the second child of Theophile Joseph Balza and Matilda Finendael, born on 30 June, 1909 in the town of Duval, Door county, Wisconsin. Like his brothers, Bill was eduated through the 8th grade. When he came of age he married Clarissa Arendt on the 5th of October, 1938 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Luxemburg. The couple moved to and ran the Arendt farm in Luxemburg, just off Highway 54 going to Algoma. He operated the farm for many years and eventually took ownership operating it until he retired. When he retired he passed the farm on to his son Michael(who never married), and moved into town.
