[1103] Obituary - Eli Vanden Houten, Green Bay Press Gazette
[1104] Luxemburg, Wis. - Eli Joseph Vandenhouten, 82, died at his home Sunday of complications due to his age. He had been ill for the last eight months. Born Dec. 7, 1868, at Tonet, he was the son of the late John B. Vandenhoutens. He had farmed at Tonet all his life, until retiring 15 years ago.
[1105] Mr. Vandenhouten was married to the former Marguerite Denis, on Jan 14, 1910, in St. Louis church at Dykesville. She survives him. Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs Clarence DeJardin, Champion; and Mrs. Orville Van Lanen, Bay Settlement; two sons, Alvin, Sturgeon Bay; and Emerson, Tonet; a brother George, Tonet; and 14 grandchildren.
[1106] The body was removed from the Stoneman Funeral Home in Suturgeon Bay to the McMahon Funeral Home in Luxemburg this afternoon. The rosary will be said there at 8 o'clock each evening.
[1107] Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning in the McMahon Funeral Home, and at 9:30 in St. Martin's church at Tonet. The Rev. Hugh McDonnell will offer the requiem mass and burial will be in the church cemetery.
