[2507] Peter Johannes, son of Jacob and Clara Ludwig Johannes was born November 27, 1878 at Ashton and attended St. Joseph's School and Columbia Byers College, Dubuque, Iowa. He engaged in farming and united in marriage April 27, 1904 in Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church to Etta Wallrich, daughter of Barbara and Nicholas Wallrich born February 11, 1883. She attended St. Joseph School and was active in church activities and a member of the Cathloic Daughters of America.
[2508] They are the parents of eight children, Barbara, deceased,; Clara Voss; Marie Niichel; Mathias, deceased; Martha Spieler; Cecelia; Anna Jones and Barbara Seviert.
[2509] Peter was a charter member of Osceola Coop Creamery, serving as director and president; a charter member of Farmers Elevator elected vice-president and later president. Up to the time of his death he acted as member of the board of directors of the Ashton State Bank and was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus. Both were faithful members of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church. They enjoyed 53 years of marriage.
[2510] Peter passed away October 1, 1957 and Etta passed away May 30, 1969.
