[2611] Nickolas Seivert was born in Brighton, Wisconsin on November 2, 1852. In 1878 he came to the Ashton area and purchased some land east of town to farm. He went back to Wisconsin in 1880 to marry Angeline WALLRICH who was born March 5, 1852 in Germany. She came to America as a small child. They came back to Ashton to farm. They bought 400 acres during the next five years. Nick used a wooden plow and horses to break the virgin land.
[2612] They were the parents of ten children: Laura Pfannes 1882 - 1939; Henry Seivert 1883 - 1954; Frances Pfeiffer 1884 - 1976; Fred Seivert 1886 - 1928; Mary Johannes 1887 - 1953; Jake Seivert 1888 - 1947; Frank Seivert 1890 - 1973; Rose Kolbeck 1891 - 1974; Lou Seivert 1894 - 1973; and Albert Seivert 1898 - 1962;
[2613] They moved to Ashton where Nick diiied January 2, 1917. Angeline Seivert died February 17, 1938.
