[341] Age 86, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening. He was born September 15, 1893 in Bay Settlement. he came to Kaukauna in 1925 and started an upholstery business and moved to the present location in 1927 where the business is known as Van's Upholstering Shop. He retired in 1964. Mr. Van Lanen was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Survivors inlcude his wife, Delia M. Peters Van Lanen; two daughters: Dolores Feldkamp, Kaukauna; Mrs. Joseph (Vivian) Schaefer, Kimberly; three sons: Richard, Little Chute; Junior "Moe" and Eugene, both of Kaukauna; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be in the parish cemetery. friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna, after 3:30 p.m. Thursday. There will be a prayer service at 7 Thursday evening.
