[2990] Alvin Van Vehgel - Obituary
[2991] A. Van Veghel, Ex-Chairman of Scott, Dies
[2992] Alvin Van Veghel, 59, New Frankin, Rt 1, died Monday evening in a local hospital after a short illness.
[2993] He was born in the Town of Scott and farmed there all his life. He married the former Gertrude Reynen in 1923. Mr. Van Veghel served as chairman of the Town of Scott, and its County board representative for 17 years until the sprng of 1957. he was a member off the Holy Name Society of Holy Cross Chruch.
[2994] Survivors are his wife; two sons, Thomas, with the U.S. navy at Newport, R.I. and Phillip, at home; two brothers, Martin, Green Bay and Joseph, Milwaukee and a sister, Mrs. Martin Heersaker, Green Bay.
[2995] Friends may call at Malcore Funeral Home after 6:30 tonight. The Rosary will be recited each evening at 8 o'clock by the Rev. Francis Clabots and at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday by the Holy Name Society. A requim Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Thhursday by Father Clabots at Holy Cross Church, Bay Settlement with burial in the church cemetery.
