[1197] The Zensen family came to America from Germany in the summer of 1847 to Kenosha, Wisconsin, moving to Ashton, Iowa as a pioneer in 1873.
[1198] Rhienhold Zensen married Anna Streit in Germany. He was born in 1837 in Metzen, Germany and died in 1910 in Ashton, Iowa. Anna was born in 1845 in Erdorf, Germany annd died in 1922 at Ashton, Iowa. They lived on a farm near Ashton, then retired to a home in the town of Ashton. Their children are: Matt, John, Mike, KateBauch, Mary Zensen (Sister Damien), Rheinhold, Anton, and Nick. All were born in Ashton, Iowa and attended St. Joseph Parochial school. All are deceased.
