[500] Obituary - Hazel Mooren Balza - Green Bay News-Cronicle March 1, 1988
[501] Hazel Balza, 71, 1334 Claire St., died unexpectedly Sunday morning, February 28th, 1988, at the home of herson-in-law and spouse, Dan and Sandy Puyleart. She was born March 16, 1916 in DePere, to the late Peter and Christine (VanDyke) Mooren. The former Hazel Mooren married Gordon Balza in 1937. He preceeded her in death. Mrs. Balza had been employed by the former Reimer Meat Products for 19 years, retiring in 1979. She had done volunteer work and was an active member of the Eagles Club, the V.F.W., Auxiliary A.A.R.P., and Craft Club who donated their various profits to charities. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling.
[502] Survivors include one son-in-law and spouse, Daniel and Sandy Puyleart; two grandsons, Paul and David, one granddaughter, Sheila; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and JoAnn Mooren, Robert and Ceil Mooren; all of Green Bay; nieces and nephews. She was also preceeded in death by two daughters, Patricia and Janice; one granddaughter, Christine; two brothers, Lawrence and RAymond Mooren; one sister Agnes Pinchard.
[503] Friends may call at Malcore Funeral Home, Universtiy Ave at Baird St., from 4:30 to 9 p.m. today and prior to the funeral on Wednesday. Eagle Club memorial service 8 p.m. Funeral 10 a.m. Wednesday at SS Peter & Paul Church with Rev. Earl Schuh officiating. Burial in Allouez Cemetery.
