[438] Obituary - Lorraine Dart Balza - Green Bay Press-Gazette September 16, 1989
[439] Mrs. Lorraine (Dart) Balza, 75, formerly of 400 N. Monroe Plaza, died Tuesday evening at a local nursing home following a long illness. The daughter of the late John and Catherine Laurent was born in Rio Creek, July 3, 1914. She married Harvey Dart, October 1931, and he preceeded her in death January 5th, 1949.
[440] She married Henry Balza, June 30, 1956 and he preceeded her in death August 11, 1984. Mrs. Balza was employed at area dry cleaners including Walker's Dry Cleaners and Malcore Esquire Cleaners. Mrs. Balza has been a very active and dedicated member of the Eagle's Auxilliary.
[441] Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Maynard Dupont, New Frankin; Beatrice and Raphael Rollin, Bellevue; one son and daughter- in-law, John and Lois Dart, Green Bay; 11 grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Ethel and John Gillis, Luxemburg; Mrs. Helen Bader, Dyckesville; neices and nephews.
[442] She was preceeded in death by one brother, John Laurent.
[443] Friends may call at Malcore Funeral Home, University Ave at Baird ST., from 2 to 9 p.m., Thursday, and after 11 a.m. Friday until time of services. Eagles Club memorial service, 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Parish wake service 8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral 1:30 p.m. Friday at funeral home, Rev Elroy Reimer officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
[444] In lieu of expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home with donations used for the research being done on Alzheimers disease.
