Godfrey Van Lanen
Funeral services for Godfrey Van Lanen, 85, former resident of the town
of Scott who died Tuesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph
Angst, 1415 Day street, will be held at 9:15 a.m. Friday at SS Peter and
Paul's church. Internment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Bay Settlement.
The body is ar the Dupont-Malcore funeral home where rosary will be recited
at 7:30 p.m. Thursday by the Holy Name society of SS Peter and Paul's church.
It will also be said at 8 o'clock this evening (Feb 28 1939).

Godfrey Van Lanen
Funeral services for Godfrey Van Lanen, 85, former resident of the
town of Scott, who died Tuesday morning at the home of his daughter Mrs.
Joseph Angst, 1415 Day street, were conducted this morning in SS Peter
and Paul's church by te Rev. M. T. Anderegg, pastor, who was assisted by
the Revs, Louis Van Oeffel and J.G. Van Dyke, DePere, Michael Jacowski,
Chilton; John Kools, Glemore; Geral Ilk assistant pastor of SS Peter and
Paul's church. The Rev. J.W. DeVreese of Bay Settlement conducted the internment
service at Holy Cross Cemetery.
The pall bearers were six grandsons: Orville, Donald, Norman, Alfred,
Clifford, and Wilfred Van Lanen.
Those who came from out of town for the services were Mrs. John Veraten
and Frank Van Lanen of Wrightstown; Mr and Mrs. J. Kerkholl and son, Mark,
and Mrs. Richard Lamers, Kaukauna; Miss Anna Van Lanen, Mr and Mrs John
Willems, DePere; Mrs. Nellis Murasky, Milwaukee; Hularia, Helena, and Leonard
Williams, Hollandtown; Mrs. Gertrude Peters, DePere; Framnk VandenHovel,
Lawrence; Charles Morrison, Bay Settlement. The Holy Name society attended
the funeral in group.
