John Baptiste Leurquin was born in Belgium in 1858, the second son of Desire Leurquin and Cecilia Bournonville.
Mary ? was born in 1861, her parents names are unknown at this time.
John Baptiste and his parents, brothers and sisters departed from the port of Antwerp Belgium and landed in the port of Detroit, Michigan in October 1871. John Baptiste's Letter of Intent and his Naturalization Petition both bear out these facts.
John Baptiste and Mary were wed in 1884 and had two children:
- Ernest was born in August, 1885 and later married Ella HELLER and had one son Raymond.
- Emile was born in May of 1887.
Mary died in 1934 and John Baptiste in 1936 in Humboldt, Wisconsin. They are both buried in Humboldt (grave).
