Samuel Henry and my great grandfather, Samuel, were cousins.
George2 was the first born child of Elder Samuel and Margaret (Anthis) Fettinger. He was born December 5, 1819, married Harriet Ann Hillman October 10, 1839 in Pike County, Indiana. George died February 26, 1882. Harriet Ann was the daughter of Henry B. Hillman and Harriet Monahan. She was born November 20, 1819 in Kentucky and died March 24, 1901. Their son, Samuel Henry, was born May 8, 1858 and died February 7, 1936. Sam Henry married Frances Thompson July 14, 1875. She was born January 29, 1860 and died January 21, 1955. Frances was the daughter of Rev. Samuel Thompson and Eiza Jane Hardin. Sam Henry was Superintendant of the County Infirmary in Pike County for several years and later the Gibson County Infirmary. He also served as Federal Prohibition Officer and was Chief of Police in Princeton, Indiana for many years. Sam Henry and Frances lived in Princeton, Indiana and were members of the Primitive Baptist Church at Pleasant Ridge. They had three children: Cora, Purl and Blythe. Sam, Frances, Cora and Blythe are all buried at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
