OUR FETTINGER & OTHER RELATED FAMILIES It contains 203 pages of family history, family tradition, family stories, land records, tax records, wills, estate inventories, descendant charts and many beautiful pictures. After 30 years of researching, letter writing and her knowledge of family history she put it on paper. She was in her eighties and did not know how to type, but she managed to type 203 pages of family history. In her years of research, Veta was in touch with many Fettinger descendants of Elder Samuel and other Fettinger families. She also visited personally with many of the related and unrelated Fettingers. Other Fettinger families included, but not related - Michael Otto Fettinger from Austria 1852 - William Theodore Fettinger from Austria about 1881-2 and Johannes Fettinger from Germany 1852. The following early history of Elder Samuel Fettinger's family is my interpretation of her research.
