Generation One

1. George Riley LOOP, fourth son and fifth child of John LOOP and Margaret Rebecca SPOHR, was born circa 1843 in Fannin County, Texas.¹ He married Jane PATTERSON on 24 Nov 1867 in Henderson County, Texas.^3,4 He later married Amelia MILLER.² He died in 1874 in Chatfield, Navarro County, Texas.⁵

There were no children of George Riley LOOP and Amelia MILLER.

+ 2. i. Lucian Lloyd LOOP, born 24 May 1868 in Chatfield, Navarro County, Texas; married Bertha Mae CURTIS.
3. ii. Mary Jane LOOP was born on 8 Feb 1872. She married Calvin KINSER. She died in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas. They lived in Dallas.
+ 4. iii. Aletha LOOP, born 2 Jan 1873; married Lucian Mason MCLENDON.
5. iv. Georgia Anne LOOP married Robert L. MULLINS. She was born on 2 Dec 1874 in Navarro County, Texas. She died on 29 Jun 1940 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, at age 65. They lived in Dallas.

Amelia MILLER was born in 1853. She died in 1918.

Generation Two

2. Lucian Lloyd LOOP (George) was buried in Stamford, Jones County, Texas. He was born on 24 May 1868 in Chatfield, Navarro County, Texas. He married Bertha Mae CURTIS, daughter of William Joseph CURTIS and Sarah Henrietta WYATT, on 3 Apr 1894 in Chatfield, Navarro County, Texas.^6,7 He died on 8 Nov 1949 in Stamford, Jones County, Texas, at age 81. He was a blacksmith. They were married by Elder Solon Gipson of the Primitive Baptist Church.

Bertha Mae CURTIS was born on 16 May 1878 in Upshur County, Texas. She died on 2 Jun 1964 in Stamford, Jones County, Texas, at age 86.⁸ She was buried in Stamford, Jones County, Texas.

6. i. Bessie Mae LOOP was born on 9 Oct 1895 in Chatfield, Navarro County, Texas.⁹ She married Alonzo Jerome HEFLIN on 18 Nov 1920 in Stamford, Jones County, Texas. She died on 19 Jul 1984 in Harris County, Texas, at age 88.^10,11 She was buried in Houston, Harris County, Texas. They lived in Houston, Texas.

9. iv. Ruby Edel LOOP was born on 23 Jul 1904 in Roane, Navarro County, Texas. She married Robert Lorene HOWSE on 9 Sep 1923 in Stamford, Jones County, Texas. She died on 4 Sep 1991 in Jones County, Texas, at age 87.^12,13 She was buried in Highland Cemetery, Stamford, Jones County, Texas. She was a hospital aide and sitter and lived in Stamford.
10. v. William Paul LOOP was born on 1 Jan 1907 in Stamford, Jones County, Texas. He was buried in Stamford, Jones County, Texas. He died on 20 Nov 1922 in Stamford, Jones County, Texas, at age 15.¹⁴
11. vi. Lucian Earl LOOP was born on 23 Mar 1910 in Stamford, Jones County, Texas.^15,16 He married Winifred ('Winnie') Lee MCDOUGAL on 2 Jan 1935 in Stamford, Jones County, Texas. He died on 25 Jul 1985 in Parker County, Texas, at age 75.^17,18 He served as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945 and was a farmer and stockman near Weatherford, Texas. His name may have been Lucien. They had no children but adopted Todd M. LOOP, son of Thomas F. LOOP and Jane MILLER.

4. Aletha LOOP (George) was born on 2 Jan 1873.¹⁹ She married Lucian Mason MCLENDON on 22 Dec 1890 in Navarro County, Texas.^20,21 She died on 12 Mar 1906 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, at age 33.²² They lived in Dallas.²³

Lucian Mason MCLENDON was born on 5 Dec 1863. He died on 13 Apr 1938 at age 74.

13. i. George Leland MCLENDON was born on 5 May 1892. He married Allene JACKSON. He died on 17 Nov 1969 in Tarrant County, Texas, at age 77. He and Lucian were twins.
14. ii. Lucian Mason MCLENDON Jr was born on 5 May 1892. He married Frances WRIGHT. He died in 1955. He and George were twins.

Generation Three

7. Riley Lloyd LOOP (Lucian, George) was born on 1 Oct 1897 in Chatfield, Navarro County, Texas.²⁴ He married Frances Imogene BULLINGTON, daughter of William Franklin BULLINGTON and Fanny Catherine MCFARLIN, on 22 Feb 1921 in Stamford, Jones County, Texas. He died on 16 Jul 1972 in Houston, Harris County, Texas, at age 74.^25,26 He was buried in Forest Park Cemetery, Houston, Harris County, Texas. He was a plumber and real estate agent. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II (as a Seabee) and World War I.

Frances Imogene BULLINGTON was buried in Forest Park Cemetery, Houston, Harris County, Texas. She was born on 20 Mar 1898 in Liberty Hill, Williamson County, Texas.²⁷ She died on 14 Aug 1971 in Houston, Harris County, Texas, at age 73.

15. i. Margaret Louise ('Maggie') LOOP was born on 9 Apr 1922 in Stamford, Jones County, Texas.^28,29 She married Robert G. ('Bob') ABB on 24 Aug 1946 in Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas. She died on 30 Jun 1997 in Sherman, Grayson County, Texas, at age 75.^30,31,32 They lived in Sherman, Texas, where she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She died at her home of cancer. Some of her ashes were scattered over the Grand Canyon on 17 Sep 1997, and the remainder were interred in Arlington National Cemetery the following month.³³
16. ii. Lloyd Franklin LOOP was buried in Forest Park Cemetery, Houston, Harris County, Texas. He was born on 28 Feb 1924 in Stamford, Jones County, Texas. He died on 9 Jun 1938 in Houston, Harris County, Texas, at age 14.³⁴
17. iii. Frances Imogene ('Gene') LOOP was born on 2 Apr 1930 in Houston, Harris County, Texas.³⁵ She died on 7 Nov 1995 at age 65.^36,37 She was buried in Forest Park Cemetery, Houston, Harris County, Texas.³⁸ She held an M.A. degree from the University of Houston and taught history, economics, and debate at Sherman (Texas) High School. She died of a stroke. She was considered the most popular teacher in the history of Sherman High School, and the school library was dedicated to her the year after she died.³⁹

8. Thomas Franklin LOOP (Lucian, George) was buried in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana. He was born on 1 Apr 1902 in Roane, Navarro County, Texas. He married Jane MILLER on 29 Jun 1930 in Fairmont, Marion County, West Virginia. He died on 14 Sep 1958 in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, at age 56. He was a cotton and stock broker in New Orleans. He was captain of the University of Texas track team in the early 1920's and held the state one-mile record in track.

Jane MILLER was born in Fairmont, Marion County, West Virginia. She died in 1954 in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana. She was buried in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana.

12. Benjamin David LOOP (Lucian, George) was born on 4 Nov 1912 in Stamford, Jones County, Texas.⁴⁰ He married _____ _____ on 21 Sep 1939 in Stamford, Jones County, Texas. He died on 14 Mar 1975 in Stamford, Jones County, Texas, at age 62.⁴¹ He was buried in Stamford, Jones County, Texas. He was a repeaterman for the telephone company. They lived in Stamford, Texas.

19. i. Carolyn LOOP was born on 27 Mar 1945 in Temple, Bell County, Texas. She died on 22 Nov 1962 in Stamford, Jones County, Texas, at age 17, in a Thanksgiving Day car wreck, and was buried in Stamford.
