| Notes for Thomas (Spouse 1) | ||
| Samuel WOOD, a writer, possibly the son of Thomas WOOD & Isabel CROSIER (CROZER) of Jedburgh, married Katharine Allan BLACKAD(D)ER, daughter of Adam BLACKADDER in Edinburgh, 1799. They had seven sons and two daughters baptised at Jedburgh. Thomas WOOD (baptised 1800) was Consul to Patras Adam WOOD (1801) John WOOD (1803) presumably died in infancy Samuel WOOD (1805) John WOOD (1806) was an East India Co surgeon and later went to New Zealand Charles WOOD (1808) Alexander WOOD (1810) Katharine WOOD (1811) Isobell WOOD (1813) In 1837 Samuel was Town Clerk of Jedburgh. I have extensive information on John WOOD (1806-1888) and his Jedburgh born wife, Margery Maxwell ORMISTON (1822-1912), their life in India and their descendants in New Zealand and Australia. Would like to hear from anyone with information on the rest of Samuel and Katharine WOOD's family. [709] | ||
