APPENDIX 8
Index
- THEORY that this man belongs among the desc. of GEORGE-2 and that
he could be a son of either of the following 2 men is based on
his name, his probable birth in CT & subsequent residence on
Belchertown, MA:
- Preferred candidate to be Simon's father:
- Z00-(11) [TG3-42] JOSEPH BLANCHARD [1725-d by Apr 1791]
- father
- Married: 1745; Known child Sarah, b 1752
- Res Killingly, CT to c1777; res Belchertown, MA from shortly
after 1777 to 1791.
- Also a res. of Belchertown, MA:
- Z00-(12) [TG3-47] GEORGE BLANCHARD [1738-1818]
- father
- Married 1st: 1760 [no children known of this marriage]
- Married 2nd: before 1794 [3 children known]
- Res Voluntown & Killingly, CT to 1759+; in Weston, MA [1768];
in Belchertown, MA [1780,1790 deeds]; moved on to Pittsford &
then Bristol, VT.
- Note: If Simon's birthyear is correct, he probably is not the son
of this George.
- -->Either Joseph or George might have named a son after SIMON,
their brother [TG3-46] [b1735-d1755]. The birthyear of the
Simon, below, would "fit" this scenario...
- NOTE: No TG line family numbers have been given to this group.
