I recently visited this house at 49 Wyman Road in Billerica, MA. The Billerica Historical Society has included this site in their brochure, "An historic tour of Billerica" which has a map showing the location of "Billerica's Historic Treasures". Maria Seminatore at the BHS provided me with a copy of the map and supplied information that, along with John Chandler's Joseph/Thomas database on this B-L Web Page, shows that Joseph was a descendant of Thomas, the immigrant.
Thomas > Samuel> John(1677-1750) > Simon(1725-1796> Joseph(1765 - ? )

The house is thought to have been built in 1759 so Joseph was probably not the builder, but it may have been built by his father, Simon.

Please let me know if you are familiar with this Thomas > Samuel line and have information about the Joseph Blanchard House.
