Katherine J. Goetz and George B. Daniels

Katherine J.⁴ Goetz (Marie Blanche³ McGowan, Elizabeth ² Blaney, James D¹.) was born 18 June 1893 in Buffalo. Katherine was ill for many years and spent a good deal of time in bed, sewing. Family members recall that she was sent to Europe for treatment, to no avail. Her death certificate showed that she been suffering from "essential hyptertension" for six years, as well as nephritis, or kidney disease, and chronic myocarditis, or inflammation of the heart. The immediate cause of death was a pulmonary embolism. She died at her home, an apartment at 200 Hick Street in Brooklyn on 9 March 1938.

On 14 September 1921 Katherine married George B. Daniels in Atlantic City, NJ. George was born c. 1895 in North Carolina, the son of James Edward Daniels and Susan Clark. At the time of Katherine's death she and George had divorced. Family members recall that there was a child, but no information has been found for him.
