Marie Blanche McGowan and Augustus Goetz
Marie Blanche3 McGowan (Elizabeth 2 Blaney, James D1.) was born 11 March 1868 in Buffalo. Blanche died 14 June 1941 in Buffalo and is buried in the McGowan/Goetz family plot in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Blanche married Augustus Otto Goetz c. 1892. Gus was the son of George Goetz and Katherine Hausauer and was born February 1866. Gus was successful in the insurance business in Buffalo, working for a number of years for the Buffalo Commercial Insurance Company. In roughly 1917 he moved to Atlantic City, NJ in search of greater opportunities. He died there 11 October 1924 of chronic myocarditis, or inflammation of the heart, from which he had suffered for two years. He is buried with his family in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Marie Blanche McGowan and Augustus Otto Goetz had the following children:
