

Leo Carlisle3 Hitchcock (Anastatia2 Blaney, James D.1) was born 29 August 1886 in Buffalo and baptized at Holy Angels Church. His aunt Alicia Blaney was his godmother. After his parents death at the turn of the century, he was taken in by his Aunt Susan Blaney Carlisle. He attended Lafayette High School in Buffalo and got his first job as an electrician at Shea's Garden Theater, where another member of the Carlisle family worked. In about 1910, according to his obituary (Buffalo Evening News, 29 March 1945, he and his brother Gilbert founded the Elmwood Electric Company, incorporated in 1922. His business activities led him to become a charter member and President of the Elmwood Business Association. He also owned and operated the Grandview Ballroom in Angola, a Buffalo suburb, in 1930-35. He died 28 March 1925 and his buried with the Carlisle family in Holy Cross Cemetery.
He married Mabel Stella Price on 30 April 1912. Leo's brother Gilbert and his wife served as witnesses. Mabel was the daughter of Ward C. Price and Matilda Zagelan and was born c. 1887 in St. Louis, Michigan. She was a Protestant, according to a notation on the baptismal record of her son, Carl Hitchcock.
Leo Carlisle Hitchcock and Mabel Stella Price had the following children:
