I am searching for living descendants of the following generations of my mothers maiden side.
My Grandfather was Joseph Henry LANE, born at Fort George, Inverness Scotland, 20th August, 1875, when my Gt Grandfather was serving with the First Royal Scots there. He married Elizabeth Jane CLARK, 23 September, 1906, East Ham. Joseph died 11th July, 1935. East Ham, Essex. His Parents, my Gt GF Joseph Crane LANE and Sarah Jane HEDGES (Jane), had other children. Martha LANE aged 15 on the 1881 census, GF Joseph 5, Cuthbert LANE 3, born Ireland, James 1 born Glencorse. Census taken at Glencorse. There may have also been a John LANE, who later lived at Dagenham, Essex.

My Gt Grandfather Joseph Crane LANE, was born 21 March, 1839 at Radford, Newark Upon Trent, Nottingham to Charles LANE and Mary Ann CRANE. He was a widower when he married Sarah Jane HEDGES and already had Martha from his previous marraige, name of spouse, unknown. He and Sarah were married at St Andrews Church Romford, 1871. He retired from the First Royal Scots to Penicuilk, Midlothian, Scotland. Would like to know any details of his life from that point, as I have a gap from there until my Grandparents marraige. Upon his death my Gt Grandmother remarried.

My Gt Gt Grandfather was Charles LANE, born 3 May 1803, Bapt 3 July, 1803, to John and Melicent. I think he was the only birth to this couple and may have been illegitemate. I have seen further births to my 3rd Gt GF with John and Amelia. Charles LANE married Mary Ann CRANE 7th July, 1823, Billingborough, Lincoln. There children were.Bavin born14th October, 1823 Billingborough, Lin, Mary LANE born 22 April, 1825 Bill, Lin. John Bpt 10 Feb 1826 Newark Upon Trent, as also were the following children Charles 7th Apr, 1829, John LANE 6 Feb, 1831, Henry 13 Sept, 1833 died 1 Jan,1834, Henry 10 Feb 1835, Frederic 6 Mar, 1837, then my Gt Joseph, 24 Mar 1839.

My GT GT GT GF John LANE was bapt 5 Nov 1776, Billingbrough, Lin to William LANE and Sarah THORSBY who were married 13 May 1763 at Bill, Lin. I do not know of any other children to this couple, I am not sure which William is my William at Billingborough from this point on. Are their any descendants of this couple please. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
