I have just discovered my connection to the LANE family.
My mother was a WALLIN. My 2nd. great-grandfather James Franklin WALLIN
married Ann Elizabeth McKEEHAN. Her father Weston MCKEEHAN married Lucinda
ROSE. Her father Rueben married Elizabeth Betsey MCCUBBINS. Her father
Zachariah MCCUBBINS married SARAH ELIZABETH LANE.
If my information is right Sarah Elizabeth LANE, daughter of JOHN FULLER LANE, is my 5th. great-grandmother.
I'm interested in any information on the LANES. However I have notice that there is narrative information on SAMUEL LANE. There is an article in the
MD Historical Magazine winter of 1776. There appears to be other information about Samuel.
I would love to have a copy of that, and any other article, on Samuel or on any of the LANES.
It's always exiting to find a new family line.

I would also like any information on their children:

I am trying to clear up some confusion on the family of JEMIMA LANE b. <7 Mar. 1735>. She married Enoch Kincheloe (b. abt 1770) in 1795 in Washington
Co. Tn. In the book "Kincheloe, McPherson & Related Families" by McPherson
1951. It indicates that Jemima may have been the possible daughter of
RICHARD LANE and Sarah Fuller and the sister of JOHN FULLER LANE ( I see
that they did have a daughter Jemima)
3.. I find this to be an improbable link because:
#1 it would have made Jemima 35 years older than Enoch Kincheloe, her
husband.
#2 it would have made her 60 years old at the time they married
#3 it would have put her past the child bearing years and they had 6
children
#4 it would have made her 110 years old when she died in 1845
All of these facts make it unlikely that my Jemima and Jemima the daughter
of Richard and Sarah Fuller LANE are the same person. My suspicion is that
John Fuller LANE may be the father of my Jemima probably born abt
1760-1770. The Kincheloe book obscurely indicates that John Fuller LANE may
have had a daughter named Jemima. I am hoping that someone has record of
the family of John Fuller LANE and can help me clear up my present
confusion.
Thank you,
