Gerald Reno Beatty:
Gerald served in World War II AAF as a Truck Driver specialty
345, 32nd Bombardment Squadron (Heavy) went overseas 4 of June 1942. He was injured
in the War when shrapnel hit him in the elbow and back. [He always told the kids that the
big scar on his back was from a Judo Chop!]
Gerald was a life long member of the VFW, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans.
Battles and Campaigns on his discharge papers list 13 different
destinations in WORLD WAR II:
GO 33 WD 45, Air Offensive Europe, Tunisia, Sicily, Rome Arno, Naples
Foggia, Normandy, Northern France, Southern France, Rhineland, North Apennines, PO Valle,
and Air Combat Balkans.

and Citations; Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge with One Bronze Oak Leaf
Cluster; Was the Rank of Sargent and received his Lapel Button on 12 May 1945
