Census records show that the parents of Elijah, Fisk, b. approx. 1790, (wife Sybel Farr) are from New Hampshire. I need to know where! Sybel Farr was also born in New Hampshire circa 1790. The 1830 Malone, Franklin Co., NY census shows children as three girls, one boy (ages under five to15-20. One girl, Mary Fide Fenton, raised  John E.'s children after his wife's death. They were still living together in the 1900 census.

Our direct ancestor, John Elizah Fisk (a grocer), was b. 13-Oct-1835, Malone, NY. Married Harriett Meeker (date unknown), b. approx. 1837; d. 1880, Malone, NY. They had children, all born in Malone, NY: Carrie, b. approx 1867; Fred, b. 1869; John Meeker Fisk b. 1876; d.1930:

Richard Fisher of Cambridge, MA 5-Dec­1819, who was a glass manufacturer residing in New York city (my ancestor). They had five children Elizabeth (Lib or Lida m. Charles Willett; William F. lived in OH. m. Amelia Robbins; Margaret m. Richard Jolley and lived in NJ; James M. drowned on farm in OH. Angeline A. didn't marry; Elizabeth d. 1834; Richard d. in 1840. Where are they buried?

He was the father of  Annie Creighton Rogers (16-Apr-1860/61 - 17-May-1949) who was the wife of James Henry Fiske of Centre Malden, MA., b. 14-Jul-1860, d. Nov. 1915 in Brunswick, ML. I need to know where he was born and who his parents were.

Elizabeth Annie Payton 22-Dec-1870. He died 16-Nov-1920. His father was Isaac Fisk, who was a blacksmith of Charsfield, Suffolk, England. Isaac's father was also Isaac Fisk, who apparently came from Stanford Hall in Norfolk, England.

Fisk came over from Norfolk, England around 1790 and settled in Monroe Co., WV or Alleghany Co., VA. The father, John, died in one of those counties in 1826. What happened to the son John? (Pierce incorrectly shows Henry as part of the David of Watertown line.) Henry A. Fisk m. Martha Wile, 30-Jan-1795 in Botetourt Co., VA. They moved in 1816 to Mt, Sterling, KY. They had nine children of which four died of the flu. when young, and of the children who lived, only one was a daughter, Margaret.. Margaret m. Rev. William Askins in KY. They later moved to Greene Co., IL where he died. She remarried Rev. Henry Davidson in 1834.

Henry A. and Martha's sons were Rev. John b. 11-Oct-1804 in Monroe Co., WV. He d. in KY in 1823.  Henry and Martha's other sons were Robert Fisk, b. 30-Nov-1811, Monroe Co., VA.; Col. James Fisk, b. 5-Jan-1807, Monroe Co., WV; and Wiley Benjamin Fisk, b. 24-Oct-1817, Mt. Sterling, KY.

Rev. John died as a young man. Robert m. 31-Aug-1843 Rebecca Perkins. He d. 7-Apr-1881. Did they have children? Col. James Fisk m. twice, first to Casander Frakes then to Camilla Claber or Claver. He first lived in KY then moved to Putnam Co., IN. He and his wives had 11 children. Wiley B. Fisk m. first Julia Arm Sprat in KY and they had eight children. After Julias death, he m. Malinda Lasswell, and they had seven children. Wiley and his wives lived in KY, IL, MO, and KS.

She was born abt 1763 (prob. in Lunnenburg Co., VA), died March 15, 1847 in Madison Co., AL. She married Edward Bevill Jr. (prob. before 1790 in VA). They moved from Mecklenburg Co., VA to Guilford Co., NC between 1790 and 1800. Then about 1823 they moved to Madison Co., AL.

TAMMIE SMITH, e-mail:  Will share information about Greenleaf FISK, b. Albany, N.Y. on May 19, 1807.  He died January 26th 1988 in Brownwood. Texas. He m. Mary A. MANLOVE, abt. 1834 in Bastrop, Texas. They had seven children; William A.; James Bartholomew; Ann Elizabeth; Josiah; Margaret Jane; Sarah Ann, and Mary Elmira. After Mary's death, he next m. M.J. LANE on Janaury 20, 1855. She was Mary A. Manlove's sister. He later m. Mary HAWKINS. They had eight children: Greenleaf Jr.; Cicero; Emma; Hosea; Naomi; Mattie; Phoebe; and Milton.

Believe parents to be Azariah FISK (born c1774, RI) and Esther IDE (born 1777 in Clarendon, VT). Esther was the dau. of Squier IDE and Mary BOWEN. Azariah and Esther married in 1797, Clarendon, VT, and are listed on the 1800 and 1810 census in Clarendon. They lived in Washington County, New York 1830s to 1850s and were members of the Methodist church in Sandy Hill. Azariah died in Sandy Hill in 1853; Esther was living with the Chester McCAWLEY family, 1860, in Washington County, NY. Please, does anyone have any further information on Azariah and Esther, especially names of their children?
