Elbridge & Erma (Pratt) Hammon

Elbridge and Erma married 12 March 1914, in Urbana, Decatur County, Illinois. According to Janie Marie Hammon, granddaughter, Elbridge was "out West," and Erma was keeping house in Illinois, when he suggested that they marry. She replied "Come and get me!" and they met halfway... in Illinois (it would seem that Elbridge met her more than half way). The photo was taken about a week later, when a photographer dropped by the house unexpectedly, and Erma was upset that she did not have an opportunity to press the dress before the picture was taken.
