John Hammon
Born about 1814 in
Ohio, location unknown. Raised in Switzerland County, Indiana,
he married Catherine Sutton there on 6 August, 1836. They went
west, to the Indian Territories. Catherine died about 1852; John
remarried to Lucy Crippen, a widow with two children. John and
Lucy returned to Indiana, where they raised their family.
