Mortimer L. Henderson

Mortimer was born 1 November 1830, Ripley County, Indiana, a son of Edward and Mary S. (Richards) Henderson. This photo was taken 1 November 1910, his eightieth birthday. After curing himself of Gold Fever by travelling to California, Mort returned to Indiana and became a successful farmer. He represented Ripley County in the State Legislature, 1874-75. Married Mary Emeline Livingston, 7 September 1854, Ripley County; and secondly, Ann Elizabeth Lambertson, 9 January 1862, also in Ripley County.
