James Michael Dearring, 1899-1970

9. James Michael³ Dearring (John "Tody" H.⁴, Arnold⁵) was born in Pickaway Co., OH 20 Nov 1899.⁽³⁾ James died Mar 1970 Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, at 70 years of age.⁽⁴⁾

He married twice. He married Thelma Alberta Lamb. Thelma was born Newark, Licking Co., Ohio 7 July 1897.⁽⁵⁾ Thelma was the daughter of Charles G. Lamb and Emma Vienne Dunlap. Thelma died 23 March 1953 in White Cross Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, at 55 years of age.⁽⁶⁾ Her body was interred 26 Mar 1953 Greenlawn Cemetery, Franklin Co., OH.⁽⁷⁾ He married Edna (Dearring). Edna was born 1901. Edna died 22 Jan 1960 Franklin Co., OH, at 58 years of age. James M. Dearring was born and raised in Circleville Ohio, just south of Columbus. He first married Thelma Alberta Lamb and they had 4 children. Jim lived on West 4th Ave in Columbus until Edna's death. Then he moved to East 4th Ave in a small house which had been converted into 2 apartments. Jim lived there until his death in 1970. Jim retired from the 7up Bottling Co. in Columbus Ohio.

James Michael Dearring and Thelma Alberta Lamb had the following children:

10 i. Frances Ann² Dearring was born Franklin Co., OH. Frances died Nov 1991 Columbus, Franklin Co., OH. She married twice. She married Harold Miller 1949. Supposedly, Frances' mother was taken to St. Frances hospital to deliver her, but then was taken to St. Ann's Hospital. That is why she was named Frances Ann.

11 ii. Mary Alberta Dearring was born Franklin Co., OH 14 Sep 1922. Mary died 1993 Franklin Co., OH, at 70 years of age. She married Clell Mowery abt 20 Nov 1942.

12 iii. Kathryn Amelia Dearring (still alive).

+ 3 iv. James Emmitt Dearring was born 9 Jun 1928.
