Their children were: Eva Marie, who married K. W. Tennyson, and J. M., who married Sarah Carter. II John Busby, b. Sept. 4, 1895, d. Sept. 24, 1960. Married Floy Allen in August, 1914. She was born Nov. 2, 1897. Their children were: Otis, James Allen, and John Howard. III Meek Busby, b. Aug. 16, 1897, d. August 25, 1960. In 1918, married May Wheat (Sept. 27, 1898 - Dec. 18, 1968). Their children were: Walton; Georgia Bell (who married Edwin Ward); W. L. (who died in Memphis in 1980); Annie Rene (who married Harvey Shaw); and Elmer. IV Mary Emmaline Busby, b. April 20, 1900. Married Eldon Hunt, Jan. 19, 1919. Their children: Duane; Janice; Jerry; James William; and George Boyd. V Calton Busby, b. March 19, 1903. Married Exa Myrtle Stephenson, March 23, 1930. She was born October 8, 1909. Their children are: Billie Bruce; Jimmie Steve; and Myrtle Carolyn. VI Callie Busby, b. Jan. 8, 1906. Married Joe Gammill. Their children: Frances Lambert Bradberry; Mary Joe Bennett; and Jim Frank Gammill. After Mrs. Georgia Bruce Busby died, Mr. James Littleton Busby married Ophelia Stephenson on December 21, 1911. Their children were: Ida, who married A. D. Shaw; Jimmie Louise, who married (1) Harold Calcote, (2) Bill Hicks; Thomas J., who married Georgia Tennyson; and Nettie Irene, who married Charles McAdams. The deceased members of the Busby family are buried at Antioch. BUSBY GENEALOGY Mr. James Littleton Busby was the son of Marion Busby (May 17, 1849 - Jan. 6, 1915) who in 1868 married Mary Ann Steadman (March 24, 1844- Aug. 5, 1925). They are buried at Antioch. Mr. James Littleton Busby's sisters were: Nannie, who married F. M. Williams; Mollie E., who married W. P. Griffin; and Carolina, who married A. L. Wiltshire. All three died young and are buried at Antioch. Mr. James Littleton Busby's grandfather was Littleton B. Busby, who was born about 1805 in South Carolina, and died before 1870 in Yazoo County. He married Jane McMillin, who died in 1852. Their children were Terrilla, who married Jonathan Steadman; Mary Ann, who married Green Daniel; Sarah, who married J. H. Cresswell; Jonathan; Emily; Martha, who married Giles Calcote; and Marion (above). Littleton B. Busby married, second, Jane Plunkett. Children: Roberta, Lucetta, Octavia, and Littleton B. I am grateful to Mrs. Calton Busby for making available to me the family history of the James L. Busby family, his ancestry and his descendants. Mrs. H. E. Waid (Clara B.) resident of Gainesville, Florida; (1) Susan Alpharetta Bruce, b. Oct. 18, 1857, d. June 28, 1937. Married Jim Tom McGovern (Nov. 10, 1845 - April 4, 1926). They are buried at Enon. The McGoverns were from County Antrim, Ireland. Jim Tom McGovern's father, Bonnie McGovern, was born in Ireland in 1817, but was living in Choctaw County at the U. S. Census of 1880. Married David Quarles (Oct. 3, 1856 - Sept. 15, 1909). They are buried at Bear Creek, Attala County. (3) Thompson A. (Thomps) Bruce, b. March 19, 1865, d. March 3, 1945. Married Ida Ann Monk, b. Nov. 30, 1865, d. Feb. 29, 1936. Buried at Enon. (4) Georgia A. Bruce, b. March 2, 1867, d. August 20, 1911. Married Oct. 16, 1892, James Littleton Busby, b. April 25, 1869, d. Nov. -5, 1931. Buried at Antioch, west of Reform, Choctaw County, Mississippi. (5) James Lafayette Bruce, b. May 5, 1870, d. Nov. 11, 1934. Willie E. Bruce, b. July 12, 1898, d. August 6, 1950. Married Kitty Black, b. May 9, 1895. Buried at Nebo. Children: Bertrand Bruce, Ackerman; Bonnie Sue, who married Walter Ferguson; Billie Bruce, Yazoo City.
